I started my first nanny job at 19 for a single women with a special needs daughter with cerebral palsy and her 8 year old son. I was a live-in nanny and I helped with the kids and did cooking and cleaning as well for two years. We are still friends to this day 17 years later. After my first nanny job I got married and was a stay at home mom for two years before going back to work for a daycare center for two year as a one year old teacher. I had to leave do to my child's health and went back to college when my daughter started kindergarten. I have an AA degree from St. Petersburg College. I worked as a tutor for the college and also was an American Reads tutor during my college years. I found out I was pregnant with my second child Read more a month after starting my bachelors degree in elementary education. I had to quit school mid semester due to being high risk and lost my financial aide. After my second daughter was born I was a stay at home mom again for two years. I have worked for the same daycare for the last three years now. I am CPR and First Aide certified. I have all my childcare classes. I am looking to be able to have a more flexible schedule and get back to being a nanny, babysitter so I can spend more time with my kids.
