I started babysitting when I was 11 years old with my younger sister, who is diabetic. This allowed me years of experience testing blood sugars, giving insulin, changing pump sites, counting carbs, and preparing healthy meals. Some other experiences I have had are as follows: caring for a special needs child, day and overnight care for multiple infants, toddlers, and older children, 3 years being an elementary summer school teacher's aide, almost 2 years of caring for boarded dogs and cats at my local veterinary clinic, a child care class, and, although I am not officially CPR certified, my health class in high school went through extensive CPR training. Some other things about myself; I was/am very involved in athletics, maintain an "A" average in school, and am in the honors program at Florida Gulf Coast University. I also hope to have a career in pediatric medicine. My availability is Read more most afternoon/evenings as well as weekends. I look forward to working with you and your family.
