Growing up, I was one of 5 siblings and 1 of over 30 first cousins. Almost every few months for my entire life, a different family member would be having another baby. By the time I was 10 I was babysitting for them at any chance I could. I've always enjoyed the energy and positivity the kids brought to me when I'd babysit them. It was also very rewarding to know I was helping those in my family that needed it for their children. In February 2015, I was 19 and moved to Virginia to live with my dad and I was away from my family and all of their kids. I still wanted the opportunity to be a caretaker for families and their children so I joined a local church and began teaching Sunday school every week for over 20 kids on average. The church also had a volunteer Read more day care program for underprivileged children whose parents could not afford a babysitter. I did both of those programs until I moved back to Pennsylvania in November 2015. Being new to another area, I would still love to continue to be a caretaker for children and for their families.
