My name is Kierstin Cresse. I am graduating from the University of Florida with a bachelors of arts in history and a Florida teaching minor in May 2018. Upon graduation, I will continue my education in pursuit of a master of arts in education. My career goals include becoming a middle school social studies teacher. I have held several babysitting/ nannying jobs in my short working career. My first babysitting gig started with 2 young girls ages 6 and 8 at the time. They were energetic but a joy to be around in care for. A more formal experience came from working at Child Care network in Destin Fl. I served as a floating teacher that would fill in different classrooms wherever I was needed. Most of my time was spent in the infant and school age room. Through this job, I gained a lot of experience in how to Read more care for an infant as young as 6 weeks to a year old. Although having 4 infants per teacher can be challenging I enjoyed going to work every day. It would put a smile on my face to see the babies every time I came in. Most recently I have held a babysitting job for the past year while at school in Gainesville, FL. I took care of two kids a girl 10 years old and a boy 8 years old. I would drive them to and from after-school activities, make their lunches, help them with homework, and perform light tasks around the home. My love for children of all ages is never-ending. Beyond paid experiences, I have had several volunteer opportunities in which I have worked with kids. Coaching girls on the run, and mentoring a high school girl for the past 3 years have been some of my favorite volunteer work. I will create a warm nurturing environment that stimulates growth and comfort.Whatever your child's needs I am confident that I can provide them with the care they need.
