Hi, my name is Cali and I am a currently senior at the University of Florida. I have had experience working with children of several different ages as a camp counselor at local organizations in Gainesville. I enjoy all activities, indoors or outdoors. I love arts and crafts and playing games. I love children of all ages and only hope to create a safe and fun environment while they are in my care.

I have been a nanny and babysat children throughout most of high school and college. I have 10 years of paid experience! I have a BS in Human Services with a concentration in Mental Health. I have babysat and nannied for many special needs children and teens. I have also worked with children with profound food allergies, deafness, Autism, Down syndrome, and Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita. I can sign and will gladly teach children who are not hearing impaired if you wish! I also have infant care experience and experience working with triplets and twins. I love children of all ages and enjoy their energy and simple enthusiasm for life. I love spending time outside in the rain or shine! I enjoy playing games, swimming and doing arts and crafts. Art is very important to me and I love to show children how to express themselves through sketching, sculpting with clay, or painting. Also, I understand how busy most parents can be, and sometimes even with the best of intentions, housework can sometimes begin to fall a bit behind. I never had a problem doing some cleaning and a few loads of laundry. I love to cook foreign dishes, and I also love to bake. I am mostly looking for a full-time/part-time job as a live-out nanny to a mature family- meaning mom and dad have steady jobs, and are not heading out the door to go hang out at the local bar at 11:30 a.m. I love working for secure families, people who truly love their children and are just trying to provide the best life possible for their little ones. Additionally, I’ve worked everywhere from summer camps and drop offs, to 4 years teaching at a dance studio with students of all ages, to babysitting and nannying. I have been taking care of kids since I was a kid myself. I was actually an only child and always wanted a little sibling to care for lol but nonetheless, my mom had friends with younger kids and would offer to babysit which turned in to me babysitting them. In high school, I would babysit but it was not paid which is why I can’t claim any years paid. It was all volunteered as I would help babysit foster children. I helped watch children as young as an infant (1 week old at the time) to 13 years old. I also participated in a teaching scholarship program in undergrad that was an enriching experience as well as volunteered in elementary classrooms and worked as a substitute teacher prior to moving. Taking care of children is a huge passion of mine, and I hope to work with this population after becoming a Licensed MFT. I am currently attending UF’s MFT (Marriage and Family Therapy) program so my availability depends on my class schedule. I was also CPR and First Aid certified for 6 years (I have renewed it twice) and just lost my certifications as they expired two weeks ago! I will be renewing them shortly :)
