I've been an older sister for 17 years now, and I've loved every second of it. I've helped my brother with homework, created lesson plans during the summer while my parents worked so he wouldn't get bored, and made sure he turned in assignments on time. I'm 24 years old, and during my time as an older sister, I have been a drama camp counselor where i got to help kids overcome stage fright and shyness, a recreational activities leader where i planned and executed field trips consisting of 75 kids ages 11-17, a City Year AmeriCorps member where i worked with elementary school students on attendance, behavior, and coursework, a Posse Trainer where i worked with high school seniors as a College Success specialist - I helped them with their applications and essays to college, and helped the students in our program by providing academic and emotional support. Currently, Read more I'm a grad student studying Educational Leadership and Research Methodology. I miss being around kids! They are so different from adults in the best way possible, and I'd love to be able to spend some of my free time with them.
