Hi,my name is Emina Haskic and I’m 24 years old. I am from Bosnia and Herzegovina. I am open-minded, humble and friendly person. I love meeting new people, learning new things and I am very clean and neat. My serious work with children started in September 2011, when I began to work as a full time childcare provider/nanny for one family in my country. They are parents of the cutest little girl, Hena, who was only 6 months old at the time. I worked for them about 5 days a week and 8 hours a day, until September 2012. Hena was such a joy to be around and I was very happy to watch her grow her first year and a half. I was bathing her, dressing her, feeding her, playing with her, helping her with crawling and first steps. I learned a lot from watching her and how fast Read more a baby starts becoming a person. Her parents would go out for dinner sometimes, so I would also prepare and put her to bed. In November 2012 I started my journey at UHD “Prijateljice” in Tuzla, which is humanitarian community with children center for preschool and school age kids. It is a center where they offer daycare, tutoring and activities for children of low income families. It was a bit challenging at first to care for bigger group of children, but with my colleagues’ help and little experience, it worked out great. We used to feed them, help them understand school work, help them in developing creative abilities, in better communication, socializing and growth. Other times we played, indoors and outdoors. One of the things the kids loved doing the most was when we were painting sand and layering it in different colors in a jar. Work there was very fun and educational for me. It motivated me to improve in this profession and made me realize that I want to work involved with children in my future. That being around children makes me very happy, warm hearted and full of joy. I came to USA 2014 and since then i was working for one amazing family whole 2 years. They have 2 kids, boy 11 and girl 5. For me was really challenge to came here and meet new culture and new way of rising kids. I had great time with them and was amazing to learn everyday something new about them. I love to do my best to take care of kids,to be always there for them, support and help them.
