Hi My name is Glenda, I was born in Bogotá Colombia( Englisyis my second language) and I am 32years old. I am second in born of four children. I am the only girl. I moved to United States in 2014. I married a longtime friend named Elkin. In 2015, I had my baby. The first year was very important to me so I dedicated myself caring for him and decided to perform professional childcare in my home starting a home daycare. I cared for several children off and on while being able to have one on one with my child. In 2016, I decided it was time to reenter the work force. Although this was much different from my time working as an account executive in Columbia, I found working with children was my calling. I was hired by Bright Beginnings and worked there for two years. At the time, Read more childcare was quite expensive so I gave my notice and moved to Bright Start preschool where are my child could attend school at no cost. This allowed me to have the best of both worlds, I was able to work and know he was cared for. In May 2019, I decided to return to Bright Beginnings childcare and have been working there since. Now that COVID-19 has happened, they have made big changes with the hours. This is why I am seeking a position as a nanny. My son will be starting VPK June 1st and my husband is in a position to care for him should he need to be picked up or is not able to attend. I have been a lead teacher for infant’s, twos and threes. I am CPR certified and carry my CDA credential. I have taken numerous courses required by the state and also courses that have not been required, all in an effort to be the best I can be when caring for children. I am active, creative and love the outdoors. As far as my character, I consider myself to be a positive upbeat person. I am very organized, dedicated, I follow direction well and believe in love, patience and affection for children. My first language is Spanish but I have been working very hard on my English. I do all I can to learn as much as possible that this beautiful country can offer us. I’m currently a member of a Christian church that I am involved in and attend regularly. I am confident my references will tell you I am hardworking, reliable, trustworthy and I always strive to do my best. I love the schedule that is being offered. I understand the trust that goes into hiring someone to care for someone so precious and be a good shape for you house.
