Hi! My name is Savannah O’Brien. I am 20 years old and recently moved to the Jacksonville, FL area from New York. My services include tutoring, babysitting and pet sitting. I have worked the past two school years and summer programs as a paraprofessional in a special education classroom in an elementary school. I worked with many different students as a 1:1 aide assisting students with class work and teaching life skills, as well as assisting the classroom teacher with day to day tasks. I have experience tutoring elementary school aged students as well in the main subject areas of Math, Science, English and History, as well as Spanish. I have tutored middle and high school aged students as well in the subject areas of English, History and Spanish. I have experience caring for animals as well, working at a dog grooming business as well as pet sitting. I am Read more hard working, organized and reliable. I began working with children in middle school and began with babysitting children in my neighborhood, I enjoy working with children because not only do I have love watching them learn and understand, but many times I feel I am learning more from my students than they are from me. Being around children is a constant reminder to be appreciative of the small, yet beautiful things in life. One thing I would want families to know about me is that I am the oldest of four children, and this has always been something I have been grateful for because from a very young age I have understood how to be patient and understanding when explaining different issues. My top three child care skills are patience, results-oriented and methodical. I care for each child I work with and truly want to see them succeed in the way that works best for them, I will take the time to understand how each individual child learns best and what methods will be best for them to achieve their individual goals.
