Sarah babysat my toddler son frequently while I had daytime appts. She hit it off with him immediately and they had a lot of fun playing together. Sarah fed him, changed him and was able to get him down for his naps. She always arrived on time and was very reliable even with my crazy schedule. More importantly, my son really enjoyed their time together. Another family she nannied for previously gave her a glowing recommendation - and it is easy to understand why.

I posted a babysitting position for a particular weekend we were headed for the Cape and Sarah responded - I thought she might not be interested since she would have to drive from Boston to Chatham but she said she wouldn't mind at all. She took terrific care of our 2 year old son at the beach, pool and later gave him dinner and played ball outside. She was very caring and made sure she was doing what we wanted her to do. Our son loved playing with her. We have subsequently had her babysit again at our home in Boston. She also had excellent references from previous nanny positions she had held.

After meeting Sarah and receiving 2 favorable references I hired her to babysit. She didn't show. I even spoke with her a few days prior to the engagement to confirm the time, date, etc. The day of the event, I called her 20 minutes before her anticipated arrival to give her directions to a parking spot. My call went directly to her voice mail, as did the 2 calls I made later. I had to take my son to the wedding my husband and I were attending. That was 3 days ago. I have not received any explanation from Sarah, nor do I expect to.
