Hello, my name is Shaina and I am a 26 year old mother of 1, with a daughter named Shalin (pronounced Shālĭn) who is 6 years of age. She and I both love children, the outdoors and meeting new people. When I’m not babysitting I am spending time with my daughter and family. I recently was in Cosmetology school, since I have grown up in the industry and seeing the way a new haircut, color and/or style can make someone feel so great about themselves and having a mother who owns her own salon it has always been an interest of mine but I had to withdraw for the time being due to not making enough money to support my daughter and myself, even with grants. Being a Cosmetologist is my ultimate dream career but for the time being I feel I have been called to continue caring for children, Read more not only because of my love for them but because I know how precious children are and in today’s world there are way too many bad people who do bad things, even those that are supposed to protect our children when we send them off for an education. I want to be able to provide a family or families with a safe, fun and loving environment for their children so the parents can be at peace while they are at their part time/full time jobs or if they just want to get away for a lunch/dinner date, a weekend getaway or a lengthy adult vacation. I have been a babysitter for a total of about 15 years, children of all ages, in the Keystone Heights/Middleburg/Green Cove areas. I also have a background in caring for children on the autism spectrum from when I worked as a student aide at an elementary school, I am CPR certified as well. I don’t mind taking the kids to the park if that is something you wish for me to do with them, otherwise I will do crafts with them or join in on playing with their toys, make them different things for lunch or dinner, assist them with homework, etc. I have many references for you to contact with any questions you may have after reading this. I am a happy, fun, loving, comforting and most importantly protective individual and mother. Each child I meet and form a bond with is so precious and important to me and I will treat them with the same care as I would my own amazing little person. I promise you would have nothing to worry about if you were to choose me as your sitter.
