I am a mom of 3 (19, 16, 8) and I was also a foster mom for 3 years before adopting my son. I have always been patient, kind, & loving towards all of my children whether they were biological or not. My family loves children as well and we are seeking care for children in our home in the afternoon/evenings and weekends. I have 3 in door dogs that are very sweet & great with kids so please keep that in mind. I've decided to open my home to care for children because my oldest is going to start college this January and my husband and I have plenty of room to accommodate since purchasing our new home. I work as a sales analyst during the day and would be taking care of children during my off time to help support the family and so my youngest has someone Read more to play with now that his sisters are growing up! :) My husband and I have both been through rigorous background checks for DCF when foster parenting and I had to be background checked for my job through the dept of financial services so please know that we are good people that would care for your child (ren) like our own. My husband is great with children and could help out with daytime shifts but we know some would feel uncomfortable leaving their child with the hubby all day so that would be a case-by-case decision for the person needing care. Our home is in South Lakeland and we have 1 acre ok a cul-de-sac for the kids to play outside too! We also have extra beds for children that need overnight care so that they don't feel displaced or uncomfortable. My son loves to be outside playing, playing video games, coloring, etc. and is very sweet. He would definitely make others feel comfortable. As for experience, outside of being a mom and doing fostercare, I've also cared for many children for families that can provide great references for our family!
