I started my childcare journey, as many of us do, by taking care of children in my neighborhood during date nights. I also helped them with homework and even tagged along as an extra set of hands during weekend trips. One of these families became a huge part of my life. A blended family, they had 6 kids between them, ages ranging from 1 to 9 years old. Needless to say it was hectic, never a dull moment and I enjoyed every minute of it. The oldest girl recently graduated college(How time flies!). I still keep in touch with them and I am beyond grateful for the opportunity they gave me to become part of their family. The experience I had with them confirmed that childcare was something I wanted to do long term. I am very active with the children I take care of. Whether it be through games, storytelling, crafts, sports... I ensure the activities we share encourage their imagination and serve as a tool in their development while they also enjoy themselves. I taught English as a second language to little kids for 5 years in bilingual schools in Colombia.One of my favorite parts of working with kids is discovering their unique personalities and talents. Hi, I'm 29 years old and I'm from Peru. When I became in aunt at 14 years old, I discorvered that I liked children, so I started to spend time with my nieces and learn about babies and children. In their birthday parties, my sisters and parents around always asked me that I play with their kids, at that moment I realised that not only I like children, unless children like to spend time with me too. I’ve worked taking care children in Peru meanwhile I was a university student (2012-2016), here in Orlando I’ve got a couple of experiences as a sitter. I have a diploma as children’s teacher and that’s what I like to do in a future.
