I've been babysitting since I was fourteen, working mostly as favors to family and friends. At 17, I started my first job as a camp counselor and coach at my local ice rink, where I taught, fed, and played with children aged 5 to 14. Now at 20, I help take care of my boyfriend's two young children, aged 3 and 2. The younger child is disabled and severely medically fragile. He has seizures, profound developmental delay, GERD, and uses a feeding pump and oxygen machine.
