Ive been babysitting since I was about 10 years old. Having a big family meant taking care of my younger siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews. When I was 12, my uncle and aunt had an emergent family situation and left the state for 2 months, leaving their 2 year old child in my care on weekends and weeknights whenever our other family members weren’t available to take care of her. I’ve also been in charge of taking care of multiple toddlers at a time, which strengthened my ability to care and watch over children as I learned that the toddler age range is the hardest to manage.
