Hi! My name is Andrea Nicohl Laboy Nieves! I wanted to firstly tell you a little bit more about myself. I am a graduate student at the University of Miami, I am currently obtaining my masters degree in clinical research, in dermatology. I am certified in CPR and have an extensive healthcare background, with my masters program being hybrid at the moment, it grants me the flexibility needed for this position. I’ve always had a passion for working with children and have several years of experience working with kids of all ages. I previously worked for the Salvation Army of Puerto Rico, back home, the position consisted of taking care of children and tutoring them as well. I also worked as a gymnastics coach for several years which has given me the experience of being a caretaker and a role model as well. I worked for The San Antonio Hospital Read more in Puerto Rico as a graduate student which consisted of taking very good care of patients, including children. I am fully aware of the responsibility this job entails and I do understand how difficult it may be for parents to trust someone aside from family and friends. I am eager and very excited to be of assistance to families in times of need. I am fully bilingual, speaking fluent English and Spanish and I hope we can create and form a connection in the near future.
