I'm a fourth year medical student doing clinical rotations in the Miami area. Before medical school I worked with a family with three young children for 6 years while I competed pre-medical courses and earned a Masters degree. When I first began their ages were 6 months, 3 years old, and 5 years old. I would pick the girls up from school, ensure homework was completed, make snacks and light cooking, helped clean and organize the house, made crafts, read stories, went to the beach and park, played with dolls, jumped on the trampoline, swam in the pool, went for walks and bike rides, played in the snow, and watched them grow up. They became like my little sisters and to this day I visit them whenever I'm in town.
