Hello Parents, I am a 22 year old college graduate with a BA in psychology, minor in religious studies. I have experience with infants and children as well as children who have anxiety, ADHD and autism. I am working on my master’s degree and I am looking to return to the comforts of nannying. I truly love children and feel I have a great ability to relate to them. I am open to working with children/infants of all ages and have the matching experience to do a great job. I also feel I have the enthusiasm, creativity and education to go above and beyond basics expectations. Additionally, I have a very flexible schedule, a dependable car, and speak Spanish. I Read more worked for a couple and their 8 year old daughter for 2+ years. This job required all types of shifts and varying duties such as, wake/sleep preparations, light meals, homework help, math tutoring, and timely transportation. Following that employment I worked with a young family and their newborn, for a year and a half. This job required the usual bathing, feeding, changing as well as occasional transportation, adhering to specified sleep schedule and constantly engaging the little one! I also have experience with children through my school involvement. During my undergrad I was a research assistant at FIU's child anxiety and phobia program for over a year. During that time, I worked with children ranging from 5-15 and helped in fear desensitization therapy. Most recently, I was an autism therapist and applied the principles of behavior analysis to facilitate learning, increase socialization and decrease problem behaviors. Through this employment I worked with children ranging from low to high functioning as well as very aggressive to no concerns of aggression.
