My name is Gilles (which is pronounced Jill) and I am 19 years old. I have a passion for Music, Languages, History, and Health. I am a high school grad and am aspiring to become a Music Therapist or Music Teacher. As a babysitter, or caregiver, I believe it is important to ensure that children feel secure, comfortable, and happy. In my experience, I have babysat many children whose parents were busy with their careers as being teachers. My focus was on the children at all times. I would cook them their meals, engage in activities with them, clean the house, and put them to bed at a reasonable time expected from their parents. On days when the children would come home from school, I would encourage them to finish their homework before their parents got home. I would also provide assistance if they struggled in any of their classes, Read more as well. To me, babysitting is merely about friendship. It consists of building trust from the family and from the children, and I believe it is important to help children strive to be at their best. Even if they are at the worst and they feel sad, I feel that it is my job to help comfort them. Growing up, I have had babysitters who would sit down and be on their phones at all times, or were even too lazy to fix me meals. This is simply the opposite of what I want to be.
