I am a mother of 4 ranging from 18 through 31. I love my kids and have been there for them through thick and thin. My two youngest sons play hockey, and my 21-year-old is in the Army National Guard as a medic specialist studying to be a nurse at the University of Illinois downtown. My oldest is disabled but very high functioning, so I have a great understanding in the care of a disabled child. Because I am a family person, I take my kids each year to Florida for a family vacation because as they get older and find their partners in life, these times will probably become few and far between. Anyway, I am hoping one of them will give me a grandchild. That to me is the milestone in my life, crossing fingers.
