I was a foster parent for 16 yrs. and I only took in infants and toddlers. In that time I cared for many medically needy children . I've cared for children with heart monitors, shunts, feeding tubes and failure to thrive Infants. I also adopted 3 of my foster children who are all grown now. I love the little ones so much because it still amazes me how much they develop and learn in the first years of their life. As a foster parent we had many hours of training before becoming a foster parent and then each year we needed 8 hrs. of training to renew our license. I've had CPR and First Aid training. I take great pride in my job. I also have a 6 yr. old grand daughter which I keep on weekends.
