As the daughter of two teachers, I was inspired by their dedication to bettering the lives of children to become a teacher myself. Throughout college, I worked as a summer camp counselor for two summers as well as the Boys and Girls club for a year with the first grade girls group. I created a safe, disciplined, and fun environment to spend their days during the summer and after school. I also collaborated with teachers and supervisors to create engaging activities to keep the groups busy. I completed my bachelor's in elementary education in December of 2019 and continued on to become a teacher right before the pandemic hit. I soon became an online teacher, still supporting my students to the best of my abilities. As the year ended, I decided I was not wanting to continue to teach online and found a job nannying for a family. I've spent Read more the last year with this family as a weekday nanny, helping them complete online assignments for their homeschooling, scheduling play dates, cooking lunches, and taking them to any weekly activities, along with any other task that was thrown my way.
