Meet Deena

Since as far back as I can remember, I've always held a special place in my heart for children. I was always the one to run up to the soon to be mom and ask to rub her belly or the one asking to hold the baby! That's why when I became a big sister, I took the role to heart and still today even though my baby brother is 27 and over 6ft tall! He is the reason why my skills and care for children are set at high standards and is backed up by good morals and common sense type of care. My mom was a single parent so her only option was to work outside of the home. It was very easy for me to become the caregiver for my brother, I was happy to engage my big sister role, I knew he needed protection, nourishment, playtime, Read more music , downtime, know right from wrong, hugs and kisses( which I enjoyed, him not so much lol) but overall just to be himself, that simple. I was happy just seeing him laughing and smiling! So with that being said, you can see why I became the family sitter, always ready, willing and mature enough to handle it because I genuinely enjoy it. So it became "my thing!" To the point that my family told all their friends! And before I knew it, I had babysitting jobs on an consistant basis. Although I didn't make a career out of it, I still managed to volunteer in the children's nursury at a local church, working specifically with infants. What a joy that was! Especially when they decided to all cry at once, it was like a mini chior! Lol but seriously how can you not love and adore someone so small, cute and innocent? I moved to Florida (in 03) and worked for many great companies while trying to pursue a career in audio engineering ( I love music and art!) two include a teachers aid at Tutor Time Daycare. I worked with children ages 4-5. So much fun! They remind us adults how much fun using your imagination is! Yes they had their share of meltdowns but there's nothing a little "tickle tickle" can't cure right? Well sometimes. I also worked for a staffing agency that would schedule me to work for different families either for a day or months depending on the families needs. I always said yes I can do the job no matter what and proved that to the families and the agency as well which is why I was always called! I worked with children of all ages and children that required specific needs. Overall I use common sense, genuine love and care. And although Im not certified it cant certify my passion or dedication. Let's talk more! I have no more room to write!
