Hi, my name is Gracie Perez I am 24 y/o fluent in English and Spanish. I have a bachelor's from the University of Central Florida with a major in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Psychology and recently graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a master's in Biomedical Sciences. Ever since growing up, I have always admired kids. Hence, why I would like to one day become a great pediatrician. As a pediatrician, you are not only faced with the opportunity to help youth, but you also bring comfort and tranquility to the hearts and minds of their loved ones that being their parents, guardians, and family. I have previously completed a 2-year course in Early Childcare Education creating daily lesson plans full of fun learning activities for kids. During my bachelor's, I mentored and coached incoming freshman students providing emotional support and helping them build their academic skill sets. Read more I was also part of a STEM mentoring program for middle school students. One of my all-time favorite experiences during my bachelor's was volunteering at Adventhealth for Children Hospital as a Patient Companion. As a companion, I had the lovely opportunity to provide comfort and play opportunities to pediatric patients of all ages. I am a firm believer that every child and young adult should be in safe hands and have a fun/enriched learning environment. It is crucial that kids have someone who they can rely on and look up to.
