Hello, my name is Sarah! I’m currently studying to be a nurse at New York University, and I currently have a 3.9 GPA. I have grown up with younger siblings and little cousins so, I know how to look after and take care of children. Additionally, I have worked as a preschool teacher and volunteered as a kindergarten Sunday School teacher (I have a recommendation letter if you would like to see, so please ask). I would teach them how to read the English and Arabic alphabet, teach subjects such as math and science, help them expand their vocabulary, and monitor their progress and adjust accordingly to their needs. I also had a nursing internship in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at a children's hospital where I would assist the nurses with the patients and their specific healthcare needs. In my free time, I like to read, language-learning (currently Arabic), go Read more on walks, visit museums, paint, or go volunteering. I absolutely love kids and the magic they bring into the world with their curiosity and playfulness. I love to play, do arts and crafts and science experiments, read to, and go outdoors with kids whether it is the park, playground, play some outdoors sports appropriate for their age(s), or simply exploring the neighborhood/city. I am a very big fan of nurturing their interests and encouraging outside thinking and curiosity. I am a huge nerd with a lot of trivia and fun facts residing within my brain, so I definitely feel capable of answering all types of questions they may have! As part of my nursing program, I am BLS certified and I do have an outside background check and drug screening (all three are needed to be in the hospital as a student nurses) if you are interested in viewing!
