Hello, My name is Daija. I am currently a junior at FAU. My passion is to work in pediatrics after I graduate. I also have experience baby sitting but it is not listed below to due it being children within my family and children of family friends. I have also done paid babysitting for awhile back in high school. I was in charge of watching 3 kids, ages 2, 3, and 11. I also have experience watching a 1,4,7 and 8 year old whom are kids in my family. I have experience volunteering at different elementary school events in Orlando, where I'm from. In high school I was a part of "true friends club" which is were we get to sit and put on events for the special needs kids, I did that for three years. I was apart of 7 clubs in high school and true friends was my Read more absolute favorite one. Im also good at scheduling and staying on a good schedule with academic activities and making sure they are getting enough free time and outside play. Also, I know how to cook so if you need someone to prepare the kids a meal I am up to the task. When working as a summer camp counselor I had to be very creative to keep everyone interested and making sure they were all having fun. I love to do projects and arts and crafts. I believe arts and crafts can help, mostly with Younger children, with learning new things, such as shapes, colors, and also extend their vocabulary. I also like to dance, I would have mini dance parties with my camp kids a lot. Last but not least I have experience tutoring kids, mainly high school kids which I completed as a requirement for the national honor society in high school. I am used to watching up to 10 kids. Also, I have experience watching one child who had ADHD, it was challenging in the beginning but eventually got easier.
