My name is Shannyn Jones. I am 50 yrs old. I previously worked in the medical field . I was babysitting part-time, evenings & weekends while working full-time days. I left my daytime office position & decided to do something that I found more rewarding:) My mother provided childcare in our home when I was in elementary school. I started babysitting in the nursery @ church when I was in high school & have babysat on & off since then. I have experience with all ages especially infants and toddlers . I am trained in child and infant CPR and first aid. I have a recent tdap vaccination and up to date on covid and flu. I have 10 nieces & nephews but I do not have any children of my own. I was married in April of 2012.  That March I left my office job & started working as a nanny part-time. Since that time I have had the fortune of helping many families. Some on a regular basis & some for nights out, picking up kids from school & taking to activities & SAHM's that need a break or have errands. Currently I am working as a part-time sitter/nanny for a 15m old and 3yr old. I have been with them for almost 3 yrs. My husband & I relocated to Pensacola April 2014 from the DC/VA area. I worked at an animal rescue and shelter, and i volunteer and local rescues. I am also on Rover and pet sit for friends and neighbors as well. I have watched pets and house sat for many of my babysitting families:-) If you would like we can get together for a "meet & greet". I can meet you & the children & find out about any needs you may have & the children will have a chance to get to know me before being left alone. I’m Sydney! I’m 23 years old and the youngest of 2 but have a huge family. I’ve been babysitting my youngest cousins since they were born, I’ve loved watching them grow over the years, and seeing how their little personality’s developed. I’ve had experience with ages newborn to preteen, my youngest cousin is also special needs and blind, watching her is something that really showed me the love i have for kids. I wouldn’t trade my time with her for anything. At age 12 my first job was at a bowling alley watching children in Pensacola. In my mid-20's I married a childhood friend who I convenience to enlisted into the Navy. We moved to Virginia where I volunteered in a place that was a holding place for children whose parents or guardians didn't want them or couldn't take care of them. Most of the children were sad. I worked hard to figure out how I could put a smile on their faces. I'm no longer married but I have 2 wonderful sons from the marriage. When my sons were young, we moved back to Pensacola. I took a lot of child development classes from PJC. I've worked in several childcare businesses and Retail businesses. When my sons became adults and lived on their own, I started caring for one Military family's young children at a time in my home or their home. All of these families got transferred but they still send me pictures of their children. My fee is $15 per hour, and I only accept cash that is paid on the same day that I work for you. I'll take your child outside to play with their toys or play games inside on raining days. If I'm watching your infant, I will talk, sing and use age-appropriate toy to entertain them. While your older child is playing, I'll ask them to touch a color, count the toys etc. Bathroom time and washing hands often are important. If they are happily playing inside and I see laundry that needs to be folded or the floor that needs to be swept you may see me doing it. So, if you are still interested let me know.
