My name is Shannyn Jones. I am 50 yrs old. I previously worked in the medical field . I was babysitting part-time, evenings & weekends while working full-time days. I left my daytime office position & decided to do something that I found more rewarding:) My mother provided childcare in our home when I was in elementary school. I started babysitting in the nursery @ church when I was in high school & have babysat on & off since then. I have experience with all ages especially infants and toddlers . I am trained in child and infant CPR and first aid. I have a recent tdap vaccination and up to date on covid and flu. I have 10 nieces & nephews but I do not have any children of my own. I was married in April of 2012.  That March I left my office job & started working as a nanny part-time. Since that time I have had the fortune of helping many families. Some on a regular basis & some for nights out, picking up kids from school & taking to activities & SAHM's that need a break or have errands. Currently I am working as a part-time sitter/nanny for a 15m old and 3yr old. I have been with them for almost 3 yrs. My husband & I relocated to Pensacola April 2014 from the DC/VA area. I worked at an animal rescue and shelter, and i volunteer and local rescues. I am also on Rover and pet sit for friends and neighbors as well. I have watched pets and house sat for many of my babysitting families:-) If you would like we can get together for a "meet & greet". At age 12 my first job was at a bowling alley watching children in Pensacola. In my mid-20's I married a childhood friend who I convenience to enlisted into the Navy. We moved to Virginia where I volunteered in a place that was a holding place for children whose parents or guardians didn't want them or couldn't take care of them. Most of the children were sad. I worked hard to figure out how I could put a smile on their faces. I'm no longer married but I have 2 wonderful sons from the marriage. When my sons were young, we moved back to Pensacola. I took a lot of child development classes from PJC. I've worked in several childcare businesses and Retail businesses. When my sons became adults and lived on their own, I started caring for one Military family's young children at a time in my home or their home. All of these families got transferred but they still send me pictures of their children. My fee is $15 per hour, and I only accept cash that is paid on the same day that I work for you. I'll take your child outside to play with their toys or play games inside on raining days. If I'm watching your infant, I will talk, sing and use age-appropriate toy to entertain them. While your older child is playing, I'll ask them to touch a color, count the toys etc. Bathroom time and washing hands often are important. If they are happily playing inside and I see laundry that needs to be folded or the floor that needs to be swept you may see me doing it. So, if you are still interested let me know.

Hello, I’m Karine, I’m from Brazil and I have always loved kids and finally found the au pair program in 2019. I was an au pair for 2,5 years and had two amazing families that made my experience even better. I took care of 3 children in the first family and two in the second family. The age range was between 15 months to 6 yo. The main activities I would do with the kids would be driving them to practices, explore playgrounds around the city, do play dates, arts and crafts, play sports, go on walks or small hikes and be outside as much as we could as the kids loved the outdoors and me too. My whole time in college was spent studying development and especially language development, making me confident that I would know how to not only care for your children, but help them to grow and progress in their development. I have been babysitting since I was about 14. Before that I was a "Mother's helper," which meant the parents were home while I cared for the kids. I have worked in the nursery at church for years, volunteered at a boys and girls club at an elementary school for months, as well as worked in a Speech and Language therapies office to get shadowing hours. I have spent a lot of time studying and learning how cultivate children's development. In the time that I worked at a Speech and Language therapy office, I worked with many kids with special needs. Majority of the children were 5 and under, but we had some kids come in that were in middle school and high school.
