My name is Jamie Defosses, happily married to my husband Jonathan. We don’t have any children but we do love children. We have both lived in Africa and speak Swahili fluently. This is actually what brought us to Florida. We heard there is a Swahili speaking refugee population in the Tampa Bay area, and we thought we could move to Florida and volunteer to help them while our circumstances allow. That has been our focus since living in Florida. Seeing as how our volunteer work isn’t paid for, we each work part time jobs. I have worked as a housecleaner and phlebotomist. Seeing as how I worked in a hospital setting, I am CPR certified and First Aid certified in adults, as well as children. I have 2 nephews and 1 niece that I have babysat off and on since the day they were born. Seeing as how they live Read more in another state, I don’t get to spend as much time with them as I would prefer. I genuinely love children and would be happy to help take care of yours, as if they were my own nephews and nieces. Being a parent is hard work and you deserve so much respect by giving your all to care for your family. The way I see it, raising a family is like putting a puzzle together. It can be really hard sometimes but if you keep working at it , the end result is priceless. I would love to be a tiny part of the puzzle in your family.
