Hello! My name is Kaelin Berthold, and I would love to share with you a little about my early childhood experience: At 12 years old, my mother decided to start fostering children, and we cared for and loved children from newborn to 13 years old. This experience started my love for early childhood. Entering high school, I decided to volunteer at two different daycares throughout my four years spent there. One daycare was a smaller establishment with kids aged from 1 year old to 5 years old. The other daycare was an aftercare that only cared for children attending school. In 2017, I graduated from high school and started college at Florida International University, which I graduated in December 2020. I received my degree in Early Childhood Education and learned a lot- I even got to be hands-on in elementary classrooms every semester. Throughout college, I worked at multiple daycares Read more and gained experience working with all classrooms, as my role was to assist throughout the daycare. After receiving my degree, I spent multiple years as a nanny for children ages 1-12, a homeschool teacher for a 1st and 5th grader, and a Kindergarten teacher at a charter school. I would consider myself an active person who loves to get creative, like creating a six-week summer program for two children I nannied in 2017. I also enjoy doing new unique things and making different ways for children to be interested, like creating a sports tournament with prizes according to a child's age level.
