My name is Teresa Hand and I’m currently studying business marketing at UWF. I have over 7 years of childcare experience, I’m creative and very energetic, and love helping children explore the beautiful world we live in. I started as a mother’s helper in middle school and have been working in childcare ever since. In high school, I was blessed with the opportunity to work with several different families as a babysitter or nanny. Here, I learned how to properly care for infants, toddlers, and young teens. I was trained in lifeguarding where I got certified in CPR and first aid. Over the past four summers, I worked in Key West as a summer camp counselor at the Basilica school. Throughout this position, I cared for children ranging from preschool to middle school. As a camp counselor, it was my responsibility to watch over large groups of kids, keep them Read more safe, teach them valuable lessons, and find a plethora of ways to have fun (and creative, especially during the summer where the pandemic was at its peak). Today, I volunteer as a youth group core team member for middle schoolers at my church and work part-time at Target as I recently moved here for school. I truly enjoy all age groups and understand that every child’s life is something to be cherished.
