Hi, my name is Lexi Magnano and I am a Robertson Scholar at UNC and Duke from Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. I have been babysitting regularly for 9 years and have worked with children of all ages. I am studying Political Science, International Comparative Studies, and Data Science. Outside of school, I have a nonprofit that tutors and mentors refugee students and am currently working for the NC Governor’s Office. In 2020 I created and operated a children’s camp to help parents working remotely where I taught art, STEM, and played sports. At the end of the week, all art projects were donated to a local assisted living and memory care facility. I hosted this camp for 3 years, and have also worked as a teacher for all ages in Title 1 schools in Jacksonville Florida through the Bank of American Student Leaders Program.
