I have been a child care provider for most of my life, I have twenty years of experience baby sitting, volunteering, tutoring, working as an au pair, and as a nanny. I also currently homeschool my gifted nine year old son who has sensory processing disorder. I was an assistant drama teacher in high school and have taught private percussion lessons to children and teens. I have also taught children's sustainable gardening classes and have tutored children in the arts, in history, and in language arts. I have experience working with children and adults with special needs and I have been trained in and was previously certified in CPR and first aid (including infant CPR) through the Red Cross. I also have pet sitting experience as well. I have worked as a character performer portraying various fairies and Disney princesses and I am well versed in the Waldorf method, the Read more Montessori method and unschooling techniques for home based education. I practice gentle attachment parenting at home and I believe in fostering a love of learning through engaging hands in activities in nature and the arts. I love reading stories, playing games outdoors, and helping children use their imaginations and learning to express themselves creatively.
