My experience in childcare includes being entrusted with taking care of children ages 6 weeks up to 12 years old while they attend the YMCA daycare. I would play games, socialize, and handle any other needs that may arise during the day. Also, communicate with the parents/legal guardian at pick up, drop off, and other times during the day. Through the YMCA I was able to expand my services and care for some of the children at their home. I chose to work at the YMCA’s daycare because I aspired to become a pediatric nurse.
