I was a nanny for a little girl from the age of four weeks - 32 months old while her single parent worked 10-12 hour days, and away on business trips 30% of the month. I also took care of an 8 mo old until he turned 3y. I have been a full time nanny for a 6 yr and 9 yr old for two years, and another year with a 5 yr old and 11yr old boys. I'm looking into fostering children again when my son is a few years older. I have a 19 year old daughter and a 2 year old son. I had my last child at 40!! My beautiful amazing son was diagnosed with ASD as well. I am slowly finishing my BA in Psychology and a minor in Early Childhood Development. I am also finishing my course work/ exams in ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) with young children to pre-teen. I like to encourage imagination through Play, Art and Music. I've been successful with positive reinforcement and will adhere to the normal routines, and discipline the parents have established or request. While I was a nanny I was responsible for getting the kids to and from school, camps, play dates, and extracurricular activities. Prepared nourishing meals and snacks,planned weekly menu and did the grocery shopping. Presented programs that furthered language and social skills. Provided a structured environment for preschool children and taught them basic skills such as dressing and toileting.
