Back in my 20's, the 17yr. old sister of my then fiancé, had an unplanned pregnancy. I cared for her [the infant] full-time, from birth to almost 3yrs., during the week with her going home just on the weekends. A short time after that, an adult couple had their first child and I cared for her full-time days as the parents both worked. Fast forward to about 10 yrs ago, another good friend adopted a newborn [preemie] who came home on oxygen. I cared for this child for approx. a year and a half until the family moved out of state. I then began doing construction cleaning and met a wonderful couple where my position became more companionship. These wonderful people offered to send me to get my CNA license, which I did and still hold active today. Unfortunately, they were snowbirds and with Covid, that has come to an Read more end. I have been married for 19yrs. and have an 18yr. old daughter of my own. We have one dog and one cat and my daughter and I also each have a horse. I've always been a "caregiver" at heart. I inherited that quality from my mom. Who at 70yrs of age, was given legal custody of her two great-grandsons who are now 21 and 24 yrs. old.
