Hi all! My name is Emily, and I am currently pursing my master’s degree at Lesley University, in Clinical & Mental Health Counseling, specializing in children and family studies. I have worked, mentored, and coached children and teens for the past 15+ years. I am Yoga Alliance certified in both youth and adult courses. It is from my forever love in teaching children’s yoga, that I embarked on a journey to build my own business. I created Not Your Average Mermaid LLC, specializing in SUP yoga and salt-water-therapy, to promote mind-body wellness. I partnered with local business entrepreneur, Leah Goodman (owner and founder of SUP East Coast Style, MA) to offer creative programming in movement and self-discovery for all ages. Now that I am a permanent resident in Sarasota FL, it is my mission to help create targeted programs offering the same creative energy and empowerment! As I enter my Read more final year of school, I am looking to build as many connections in the community as I can! Helping families with their kiddos is something that comes naturally to me. I was a full-time nanny for two children in my last position, in Marblehead MA. I still face-time them regularly because I miss them so much! This September I will be interning part-time, at a local children’s counseling agency, and will need something else to fill my week.
