When it comes to my experience, I have been watching the children of family friends for a few years (ages from 2-5) and have successfully been able to keep them occupied, entertained, and safe while looking after them. This has allowed me to care for children who are very shy, but also some who are very lively. It comes naturally to me to come up with fun and creative activities to help kids become intrigued in the world around them. I like to think of the responsibility of child care the same way that C.S. Lewis would, “Children are not a distraction from more important work.
