I’m a retired marine biologist and science educator with a passion for the sea. I moved from rural Virginia to Stuart, FL in December and am finally settled in enough that I’m seeking occasional child care opportunities. I love taking children on “field trips” to their own backyards and beyond but I’m equally comfortable teaching simple hands on science concepts or just taking things as they come. Although I’ve done many hours of home based childcare, I’ve also worked for museums and educational centers where I taught science lessons and led overnight programs. I’m comfortable with all pets and have had one of almost everything ( including a Loggerhead sea turtle). If you or your child desires a sitter with a sense of adventure then I’ll be perfect!
