Meet Keashia

I’m 18 and I’m someone who’s very patient, caring, and genuinely loves working with kids. I currently work at the YMCA in the Stay & Play area, where I watch children, play with them, help lead activities, and make sure everyone is safe and comfortable while keeping things calm, organized, and fun. I’m also a nursing student, so safety, communication, and attention to detail are very important to me, and I make sure both kids and parents feel comfortable and supported. I’d describe my personality as silly, helpful, and responsible, and I enjoy being someone kids can feel safe with while still having fun and being themselves. I started working with kids through volunteering at my church, but even before that I was always babysitting my younger siblings and cousins, which helped me become confident caring for children of different ages.
