Hi everyone! My name is Kanisha Scott. I am a 20 year old Social Work major at Florida State University. I have over 5 years of experience with childcare provided at an actual facility, Rose Childcare, & in-home sitting. I have 5 younger siblings of whom I helped to raise, so this is where my experience and love from children began. My mom was a single parent, so I had to learn a lot and take on major roles and responsibilities around the house. This included: learning sleep schedules, knowing and remembering allergies, learning patiencw during early developmental toddler stages, keeping a close eye on the children to ensure safety, and being a great role model. I think this is why most parents I’ve babysat for and also my parents from the daycare I previously worked at loved me. I understand that the little things that take place in these moments of their childhood could greatly impact them positively or negatively, depending on how it’s handled by the parents, and by you— because it takes a village!My personal philosophy for childcare is to care with love and patience. I want to babysit so I can give parents a relief and peace of mind with who their leaving their children with as they complete their important tasks of the day, work, or even just take a night off to relax. I know parenting is hard and a full time job in itself. I hope to impart wisdom into the children I interact with and to unlock their imagination by helping them to dream big and make the most out of every moment!
