When it comes to infant/nanny/childcare experience I feel as if it's first hand to me. I was raised in a house of 6 and was always responsible for taking part in weekly chores around the house. Moping floors, cleaning the dishes, doing laundry, making the beds.. The whole 9 yards to say the least, and I LOVED it. As weird as that may sound, it was calming to me. Around the same time, I was also part of my families church and attended bible school on Sunday's with my two sisters while my Dad was in big service and my Mom was taking care of the babies in the nursery. I liked being in the class with my friends, and I loved doing arts and crafts and singing worship but even at the age of 6-7 all that was in the back of my mind was going to the nursery Read more where my Mother was and helping her rock the little girls and boys to sleep, or to read them short stories, even to just change there diapers would have made me so happy. It was like a fire was lit inside of me the first day I stepped into that nursery and saw my mother doing what she did best! In high school I was involved in Varsity cheerleading, was a huge member and movement in our Special Needs program "Best Buddies" and was a member in our service club "The Kiwinettes or Kiwi". When I wasn't spending time at school taking care of education and fun activities I was picking up weekend babysitting jobs for family friends who were desperate for a much-needed date night! I did that all throughout high school for mothers here in South Tampa until I left for Boca Raton in 2012 after graduating high school. I attended FAU for two and a half years studying in ESE Education (Special Education) and absolutely loved it. I decided to come home to Tampa in 2014 due to financial issues and start a new life here! I was a nanny for a family here in south Tampa for 2 years from 2014-2016 as well as took care if there grandmother who was unable to take care of herself. It was an amazing 2 years but as the kids for older they were self sufficient in doing the work I had been doing the past 2 years so we parted ways and I started a full time job at a law office in Tampa which is where I’ve been the past 2 years. After sitting behind a desk I realized that I wasn’t pursuing my true passion in life which is making families lives a little easier by helping as a nanny. So I am currently looking to take up that career as a full time, fun, and loving nanny once again. Thank you, Sarah Draper
