Hi there, I'm Alex and I would love to help you meet your unique care needs! Diaper duty? You bet. Homework help? Yes, please. Special needs care? Absolutely. - I am a recent Baruch College graduate with six years of professional childcare experience. As part of a military family, I moved a lot as a kid. So, I know firsthand the importance of having a friend to spend quality time with during those formative childhood years. - I have cared for children of all ages, from newborns to teenagers. I helped my busy mother take care of my four younger siblings for as long as I can remember. As the "man of the house", I learned how to care for children in any phase of development. When I moved out I began babysitting and now I have six years of experience (NYC references available upon request!). - I have learned Read more a lot over the years and I want to apply that knowledge to help meet your needs. I know how to change diapers, prepare formulas, burp babies, make creative, healthy, and (for the picky eaters) delicious afterschool snacks and meals, safely pick up the kiddos from school, help with homework, do chores, help with special circumstances, and of course, have fun! - As I mentioned, I have experience providing care for those with unique needs. My younger brother has ADHD and is on the autism spectrum and I have years of experience helping him with his unique challenges. From helping him focus on homework, to sitting in on cognitive therapy sessions, to just being a big brother, I have learned a lot from him. I have a soft spot for children facing these developmental challenges and I love helping them grow and reach their full potential. - Furthermore, I have experience administering oral medication and various medical treatments such as inhalers, breathing treatments, and even closely monitoring heart monitors and other vital sign monitors. For about five years, I helped my mother care for my younger twin brothers after they were released from the NICU. - I understand that COVID-19 has created a lot of uncertainty for families - especially parents struggling to find affordable childcare. My schedule and pay are flexible - reach out and I'll do my best to accommodate your needs. - Thanks for reading this far! In short, I would describe myself as a patient, kind, loving role model with years of unique experience that I hope would make me a great fit for your family! - Best, Alex Fermin

Alexander is fantastic. My eleven-year-old son can be challenging to work with, but Alex started building a positive rapport with him from the first time they met. Now, my son thinks Alex is the absolute greatest, and I really appreciate what a good communicator and responsible adult he is. Alex has a real kindness and warmth about him that would make him an asset to any family.
