Hi, my name is Alinna Aspiro and I am currently a junior at Florida State University. I am always down to try new things and meet new people as it gives me the ability to broaden my perspective on life. I first became involved with children in 7th grade through NHS tutoring and my role as a mentor for Shining Stars, a cheerleading program for those with IDD. My work with children continued into high school as I became president of Best Buddies, which is a club that generates opportunities, inclusion, and friendships among individuals with IDD. During my high school years, I actively volunteered at the Children’s Cancer Center (CCC). I have about 6 years of experience with almost every age group, involving special needs children and cancer patients, so I work well with those in need of one-on-one care.
