Hi my name is Shaye! I am 25 and I am a second grade teacher in Pasco County! I am currently looking for a summer job in childcare! I have a very open and flexible schedule and I have worked with newborns all the way up to middle school! I have a background in child care and I have worked in a nursery all through out high school. I continued working with children of all ages and tutoring in Spanish through out my time in college. I also assisted my mother running In-home daycare. I have been babysitting in the Tampa area for a few different families as well on weekends! :) I graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor degree of Business Administration from Florida College. After being employed as a substitute teacher in January 2020 and teaching a variety of grades, I received a long-term sub position in a Read more 3rd grade ESE class at Odessa Elementary. During the three months I worked as a long-term sub, I gained experience in working with ESE students with varying learning disabilities and sharpened my classroom management skills. In the past two years I have worked as an instructional aide in kindergarten at Odessa Elementary, and I have proven my flexibility and commitment to providing high-quality support to the kindergarten team. In my first year I worked in an ESE class pulling tier 3 students, and this past year I have worked with tier 2 students and lead enrichment groups with students above grade level. Through working with students with varying exceptionalities I learned how to implement appropriate learning resources to increase their foundational development. During the time I worked for Metropolitan Ministries in their Summer Create Program, I taught first grade students from their homeless family program. I received trauma-informed trainings that were focused on the child’s character development and substance abuse prevention. Through working with children with different backgrounds I’ve learned the importance of positive reinforcement and how to implement trauma-informed teaching strategies in the classroom.
