Hello everyone! I’m Alexcia. :) I’m a recent grad from USF. I majored in Health Sciences with a double concentration in biological sciences and social and behavioral sciences. I am taking a gap year while I’m trying to decide to go to nursing or occupational therapy school. I was previously a medical scribe, and before that, a research assistant working with children for 3 years. Pursing either career, I would specialize in pediatrics because I love working with kids. I am currently interning at Gigi's Playhouse Tampa which is a Down Syndrome Achievement Center. Acting as a safe haven for children and adults with Down syndrome, Gigi's Playhouse plays a pivotal role in the community. Families are welcomed and embraced in a place where they are able to feel comfortable and understood. I started as a volunteer in July of 2022, and was promoted to Intern soon after. I stumbled Read more upon Nannying and I decided to give it a try. I have been a part time nanny for a couple of months now. Working with two children 5 and 3. One is neurodivergent, while the other is neurotypical. It has been wonderful so far. I’m learning so much and I can’t wait to see what is ahead!
