Meet Tracey

  • Has a car

For 10 years I worked as a nanny/household manager while living in the state of Massachusetts.Eight years ago, my husband and I moved to The Villages in Florida. Though there is a lot to do here, occasionally, I get the urge to be with little ones. If you find yourself looking for a babysitter in a pinch possibly you will find my schedule open. I am compassionate and patient by nature so children like me. I used to teach in the public schools so I have received a CORI as well as CPR training. I am married to a retired police officer and have two grown children. I also have two grandchildren who visit so I have turned my house into a daycare center, no pun intended. I have many references to support my work ethics and childcare style. Feel free to contact me if you would like to know Read more more about me. Have a good day.

Tracy is amazing. My husband and I agreed to keep our grandchild while his parents moved to a new city. We found out at the last minute that I needed to have some surgery. We couldn't back out of either situation - what were we to do? I got on Sittercity and found Tracey. She re-arranged a couple of things in her life so she could keep Trenton. Through emails and telephone calls we set everything up. Tracey provided us with reviews from other clients which I sent to Mom and Dad. All of us were very impressed. Trenton had such a good time. He's still talking about Miss Tracey. They played games, acted out stories, played with favorite toys and had a blast together. We found Tracey to be nurturing and kind while being a gentle but firm disciplinarian. She even wrote to tell me about some of the things she and Trenton did together. We're looking forward to meeting with Tracey's family so Trenton and her granddaughter can dance together in the Villages Town Square. What a blessing Tracey has been for us. Should the opportunity arise again, I will definitely call on her again.

We are a family with three children...two girls ages 9 and 6 and a 2 year old boy. For 9 years we managed childcare on our own. As a nurse I was fortunate to be able to work off shifts and weekends when my husband was home. We never had to entrust our children with anyone. So when we decided to hire a caregiver for our children we had very high expectations and thought we would never find the right fit...but we did. Tracey matched the profile we have for a caregiver. She is exactly how she describes herself (even better). She is dependable, reliable, easy to communicate with, fun, always smiling and full of surprises for the kids (activities, crafts, books, dolls) and most importantly trustworthy. She always provided safe, fun and age appropriate activities for my children. She was always on time and flexible if we needed to change the hours for any reason. I know it sounds like Tracey is too good to be true. Trust me I thought the same thing when I read her profile. Then I did a preliminary phone interview...still skeptical..."too good to be true" . How can someone have such similar paranting styles and value education, nutrition, fun and safety the same as I do? Then I interviewed her...again she was just what we were looking for. Could it be this easy to find the right caregiver? I thought it would take so long and we would have some trial and errors...but she just seemed like the right fit! Ok the true test...come meet the children...kids don't lie, they are a great judge of character...they will tell us if she is the right fit for us....Well, again too good to be true. All three children loved her from the get go. We hired Tracey and ever since have never doubted our decision...she is "too good to be true. She has carved a special place in each of my childrens hearts and ours in the short time that she was with us. My job did not turn out to be what I expected and I tried to make it work to keep Tracey on board and with us...but in the end I need to be home with my kids as they are growing up too fast. Tracey being a mom completely understood this, supported us and I feel that we have always had open communication that we can call her to come sit for us on an as needed basis... I did not even get into the communication....WONDERFUL. Each day I would come home from work and have a detailed list of all the activities she did with my kids, chores she did (that were never a part of her job description...she always went above and beyond), new vocabulary words the kids learned, activites she engaged them in, etc. I could go on and on about how wonderful Tracey is...if you are looking for a professional, kind, caring, fun caregiver she is the one for you. You will be pinching yourself too saying this is "too good to be true"

Tracey cared for my 4 week old newborn and my 7 year old and they both loved her. She has a wonderful combination of knowledge of child care and development, natural understanding/ability and a genuine love for children. She comes full of energy, excitement and a big bag of fun books and activities. Her excellent work ethic left my house clean, laundry done and dinner cooked. I highly recommend Tracey to any family. You won't be disappointed.
