I am the second of 12 children, so I grew up taking care of kids. I have also babysat/nannied for other families for nearly 10 years, and was recently a substitute preschool teacher. I have a bachelor’s degree in English (with an emphasis on education) and am able to tutor children as well. I am CPR certified for infants, children, and adults. I have taken several infant/child safety training courses for my teaching job which transfer to any childcare setting. I am a very competent cook and am experienced in alternative cooking (i.e., catering to allergies or particular food preferences). I have a food handler’s card as well. I am also comfortable with taking care of pets and performing household duties such as laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, and cooking. Above all, I have a strong, lifelong passion for caring for, teaching, and simply being with children. I am a SAHM Read more to my own two children, ages 1 and 2. It is preferable if you are willing to leave your child/ren at my home (I’m happy to provide a tour, and can pick up and drop off) but for occasional/part-time jobs I am willing to come to you (my children will accompany me!). We do not have pets except chickens, kept outside. I have a large vehicle, and take car seat safety very seriously. I am able to do school/camp pick-up/drop-off for up to 4 children. We love to go to the playground as well if you’re comfortable with that! I am a lifelong Christian and our family’s life is centered around our values - if your family is not religious, I have no problem providing care to your child without any explicit religious references, but I am also happy to lead activities such as prayer before a meal/nap and provide items such as children’s biblical story books if you so desire.
