I began my career in childcare 16 years ago, working in an after-school program at an elementary school. Since then, I've worked as an assistant teacher in an Early Childhood Program, taught Kindergarten Art, and nannied for many families. I hold an associate degree in Elementary Education and earned my certification as a Montessori paraprofessional. Around six years ago, I was introduced to the Montessori method of teaching. The Montessori environment really appealed to me because it gives children the opportunity to explore their curiosity and learn from their peers - which is an amazing concept! In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My favorite pastime when I am not teaching is being an aunt to my 3-year-old niece. I also have a dog, who I love to spoil.
