I started to babysit at the age of 16. I volunteered at a local day care center and often enjoyed my short time I had there! I've always had to babysit my younger cousins and my little sister (ages varying between 8 - 15). Even though they are old enough to handle themselves or their parents were often home, I was always asked to watch over when they had homework to do or if the parents wanted to have their little date night. I also volunteered at Darcy Hall Nursing Home to learn about caregiving elderly men and women. I absolutely love babysitting because I also want to have my own children one day. I know that's a bit of a stretch for a young person like me, but I am open to experiences with babysitting. I know how it's like to want some down time when parents have kids.
